Waiting Till Next Season....Again

It's official. It will now be at least 101 years before the Chicago Cubs hoist another World Series Champion banner. That's because they lost 3-1 to the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday night to be swept from the National League Playoffs three games to none to prolong the agony of an entire least the North side.

On paper, this looked like the year they could do it. The Cubs finished with the best record in the National League and they held off the Milwaukee Brewers down the stretch to claim the Central Division. But they drew the hottest team in baseball...the LA Dodgers, in the first round and were dominated by the Western Division champions.
